❤ FOTD (Face Of The Day) ❤

11 May 2014

Today's make up is very much punk inspired. I have a huge fondness for this kind of style and have adored alternative clothing and make up in general for most of my life.

I began with my Along Came Betty eye primer. Eye primer is SO essential to me, especially when wearing heavier eye make up. It helps the colours stay crease-free, smudge-free and keeps the make up in place for much longer.

I blended my GOSH eyeshadow stick over the top as an adhesive base to enhance the vibrancy of my eye make up.

With an eye shadow brush I patted Savage from the Urban Decay Electric palette into the lids.

I contoured the outer crease with Envy from the Make Up Academy Pretty Edgy palette combined with Collection's gel eye liner in black to intensify the eye shadow further.

To complete my eye make up I defined my lashes with Urban Decay's Big Fatty mascara.

To brighten my eye area I blended Seventeen's Phwoarr Paint concealer into the under eye area.

My base make up is a firm favourite of mine. Rimmel's Stay Matte foundation.

Powder enhances the lasting power of base make up so I patted Seventeen's Stay Time powder over the top of my base make up.

Cream blush provides a stunning flush of colour and these ones are my absolute favourites right now. I used the shade Heartbreaker from the ELF Studio Cream blush range and blended it into the contours of my cheeks. The reason I applied my blush secondary to my pressed powder is because the cream blush will be intensified over the top of the pressed powder and thus show up more vibrantly. If you prefer a more subtle result, apply your cream blush first and then blend powder over the top.

To finish I added a touch of W7's Go West Lipstick in Pink Candy.

The completed look!
