Max Factor's Skin Luminizer Foundation intrigued me with
its promise of a subtle glowing finish. I am not a fan of dewy finish
foundations because I suffer with minor oiliness (my skin is predominantly dry
but I do get some minor oiliness around my t-zone) and I generally prefer the
look of a matte complexion on myself.
Still the promise of a subtle glow and
brighter complexion was something I was definitely interested in.
Infused with subtle skin luminizers, our new foundation creates a healthy-looking glow that'll ensure your skin lights up the room.
Subtle skin luminizers are specially designed to reflect ‘warm’ light

I purchased the shade Light Ivory, 1 of 6 shades available. It suited my fair/warm-ish
complexion very well. The lightly scented (the scent is not overwhelming) liquid
formula blended easily over my skin and
provided medium coverage. Though the formula does not contain SPF and therefore additional sun protection will be required. My skin has some mild redness and this covered that
fairly well. Once dry the foundation provides a smooth feeling, semi-dewy
illuminated finish without looking greasy or shiny. I was considerably
impressed with how much brighter it made my skin look.
30ml of product retails for £11.99 (of course the price will
vary depending on where you purchase this) usually. Superdrug currently has the foundation on offer for £8.99. The pump packaging means less
waste and a more hygienic application process.

If you have an oily complexion I would highly recommend
setting this foundation with powder as otherwise you may find you look shiny as
the day progresses. After around 6-8 hours of wear I noticed this foundation
wearing off and that minor oiliness appearing around my t-zone. This was easily
fixed with powder, though this isn't the most long lasting of foundations so I
imagine further application would be required to wear it beyond the 6-8 hour
mark( particularly if you have oily skin). I wore this foundation with and
without a face primer (I use the Rimmel Fix And Perfect Primer which I reviewed
here http://sparklyshellcosmetics.blogspot.com/2014/05/rimmel-fix-and-perfect-pro-primer-review.html)
and found it lasted only a little longer (literally a few hours) with the
primer.
