These truffles will complement any festive food spread. They're decadent but oh so delicious. Every time I make them they go down a storm. Plus, they're super easy to make.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons (I used violife for this recipe but all brands will work) dairy-free cream cheese
154g Chocolate Creme Oreos
50g Green And Blacks Cooking Chocolate
50g Asda Free From Chocolate Orange Buttons
Method
Add Oreos to a food processor and blend well. Set aside a tablespoon of crumbs to use for later.
Combine remaining Oreo crumbs with dairy-free cream cheese in a bowl and use your fingers to press the ingredients together. If the mixture is too sticky/wet it will not hold its shape so add the cheese bit by bit (adjusting the amount if necessary) until the mixture has a firm, dough-like consistency.
Roll the mixture into bite sized balls and refridgerate for 20 mins. (Refridgerating the truffles will make it much easier to coat them in chocolate later)
Meanwhile, combine both the 2 types of chocolate into a bowl and melt over a gentle heat. If melting using a microwave be sure to check the chocolate regularly so that it does not burn.
Remove the truffles from the fridge and dip into the chocolate, coating evenly. Sprinkle the crumbs you set aside as decoration on to each truffle whilst the chocolate is wet. Add back to the fridge for approximately 30 minutes to set.
Serve and enjoy!
