I mentioned in one of my recent videos that I'd ordered some make up online. This is not something I usually do but in this instance I was already familiar with Superdrug's previous own make up line (Make Up Academy) and was more than happy to order some products from their brand new make up line online. They also have a beauty studio (the beauty studio is actually a store just outside of where I live but it isn't possible for me to go there at the moment) called Make Up Revolution.
My order arrived yesterday and today I used some of the products I bought.
I will be posting individual reviews of everything I purchased in future so please keep a look out for those!
Today's eye make up was sultry purples combined with a strike of fuschia under the lash line. This combined with matte skin, contoured pink blush and a nude pink lipstick.
The first step was to apply eye primer. Eye primer pro-longs the wear of your eye make up whilst also making it crease and smudge resistant.
Creme eye shadow acts like an adhesive and gives your eyeshadow extra vibrancy. I applied one of my very favourite NYX Jumbo Pencils in Milk to my lid and lower lash line to do enhance my eye make up further.
I was very excited to use my new Salvation Palette Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the dead) by Make Up Revolution. I used Affirmation on my entire lid, worked There Is Always A Way Back into the crease and layered Turn The TV Off into the outer crease. I applied Get Busy Living on the centre of the lid as an accent highlight colour. I used Redemption Is Near as a hue of colour in the inner corners.
To frame the eyes I first applied Redemption Is Near to the entire lower lash line combined with Inglot's 362 (which is in my own personal freedom system palette). I mixed both with Turn The TV Off and my Sleek Kajal Liner to create smoky depth.
To complete the eye make up I layered L'Oreal's Volume Million Lashes to the upper and lower lashes.
I applied GOSH X-Ceptional Wear foundation using a foundation brush combined with clean fingers for a youthful, matte base.
I brightened the under eye area with my Seventeen Stay Time Concealer.
I set my base make up with my absolute favourite Stay Time powder by Seventeen. (As you can see it is absolutely worn and destroyed from my own clumsiness - totally didn't drop it ;) - and lots of use!)
I added a flush of colour and contoured my upper cheek bone area with a mix of two blushes from the Make Up Revolution Ultra Blush and contour palette in Sugar And Spice
To give my skin a reflective glow I added a little of the lightest highlighter from the palette to the tops of my cheek bones.
I complement the smoky eyes I added an innocent nude pink to my lips with Make Up Academy's lip boom matte lipstick in Cheeky.
And that completes today's Face Of The Day!
