18 July 2014

I was introduced to Make Up Revolution through one of my beautiful and wonderful friends, Rachel of CandyFl0ssCloud here on blogger.com.

Since discovering Make Up Revolution, a brand new beauty brand by Superdrug, I was extremely eager to purchase some products from them. They have their own Beauty Studio (a combination make up store and beauty treatment studio) but unfortunately I was not able to visit the store/studio in person since it was established so my only option at the time was to order online.

Make Up Revolution hold an extensive range of products. And I certainly do not say that lightly! One look at their lovely website opens up a world to an enormous range of affordable beauty products.

I bought only a few select items initially as I knew I'd be able to visit the store eventually to buy more if I enjoyed the products.

Here's a sneak peek at everything I bought:

This Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice was one of the first products within this line that caught my eye. The 8 pan palette consists of a generously sized scentless combination of blush, contour and highlighter shades. The diversity of products combined make for a very versatile and convenient face palette.

The shades are extremely pigmented. The formula has a smooth, blendable texture. The colour in the pan is what translates to the skin. The pigmentation is so rich (including the contour and highlighter shades) that I would highly advise applying very small amounts at a time to avoid applying excess amounts of products (after all it's easier to build up product than remove it!), especially if you prefer a lighter finish.

The lasting power of these blushes is absolutely fantasic. Keep in mind that my skin type is predominantly dry with minor oiliness. After application the product stayed in place the entire day and well into the night with minimum touch-ups needed!

These retail for just £6 too! Very fairly priced for such a gorgeous, good quality blush and contour palette.

Let me know if you have tried any Make Up Revolution products and which ones are your favourites!
