I'm a qualified make up artist. This year I'm at the final stage of my degree in special fx/production make up. Starting a new term meant my pro kit needed re-stocking with new products so some serious swatch til I drop was in order.
Of course the temptation to pick up a few things for my personal kit was too much. So, you know. I did. It was glorious. Poetic. Single tear worthy...
My first stop was Make Up Revolution. I deliberately chose this brand because they are completely cruelty free, affordable, their products are amazing and they treat their customers with lots of respect and kindness. And honestly, I'm not being paid to say this.
I have been insanely curious about the Iconic palettes for some time since they are known for being some seriously pretty dupes for the Urban Decay NAKED palettes.
I picked up the Iconic 1 palette and the Hot Spice Blush palette. The former will be perfect for most basic make up and the latter contains blush, contour and highlight shades so it is very versatile.
Check back for in depth reviews with swatches very soon! I'll also have plenty of looks and tutorials with both coming up.
In the meantime be sure to check out my reviews (with swatches!) of many of their other products:
I was also extremely excited to be able to get a free MAC lipstick through their Back 2 MAC recycling program. This program allows you to exchange any 6 empty MAC containers (must be products from the original MAC line, doesn't include limited edition products or the VIVA GLAM because the donations from VG go to charity) for any lipstick of your choice.
I'm highly into vintage aesthetic so matte lip shades are my favourite finish. I've been adoring MAC's Retro lip shades from afar for some time so I felt this was a perfect opportunity to pick one up. I chose Steady Going, a beautiful light pink matte. More to come on this soon!
Floral fragrances tend to aggravate my allergies so I stray from those in favour of fruity or sweet scents. The Along Came Betty Peachy Keen bubble bath smells like heavenly peaches. Literally if peaches descended from the clouds above and bubble bath in a bottle were created from them, this would be the end result. Made my bathroom smell absolutely divine.
Likewise, the Cafe De Bain Cherry And Almond shower body gel caught my eye for similar reasons. It.Smells.SO.Good. Like sweet cherry pie with a hint of almond. Takes all my strength not to eat it! (Please don't eat shower gel, it'll definitely make you sick!) I'm excited to try more of this range because the scents are yummy and the packaging is SO CUTE I can't even.
Hope you liked my haul! Would you try or have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts?
