I recently attended a special blogger event and Pink Parcel were kind enough to gift this item to attendees. Thank you very much Pink Parcel!
I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and as a result I have suffered greatly with my periods since they began. Find out more about my condition and get realistic tips on easing period pain by clicking here
I am undergoing treatment now that means for the most part, I'm able to live a normal life. I get some months where the pain is unbearable and I am physically sick, but that is less of a frequent occurrence which I am enormously grateful for.
Upon researching Pink Parcel I stumbled upon horrific articles about this company and what they do. I was disgusted with the comments made in that article in particular.
The 'writer' states that women should not need a 'prize' for getting their period because it's not a 'birthday'. It's also implied that it's wrong to do something to make yourself feel better during that time of the month.
I can only assume these are words of a woman who has never suffered severe period pain in her life. Who doesn't know the crippling agony of menstrual conditions like Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder so for someone who cries that she's all about 'equal rights', I say big shame on her. If she were truly all about equal rights she wouldn't feel the need to knock other women for making choices that give them a little happiness, surely?
Actually, my periods are very difficult and any little thing I can do to make myself feel a little better is more than welcome. Ladies, do not ever feel shame in giving yourself a pick me up when you're feeling down or unwell with your period!
I think that's partly why I genuinely fell in love with my Pink Parcel box the moment I saw it. I think it's a fantastic idea. The compact box is neat, chic and absolutely adorable.
What is Pink Parcel? It's a monthly box of treats sent to you for you to enjoy during your time of the month. You tell Pink Parcel when your period is due each month and they send you your treats in time for you to indulge in!
The contents range from beauty products to personal skincare items and even super yummy chocolate! And of course, a huge choice of tampons and pads is also offered from well established brands like Always and Tampax. You even get a preview of what's in your box so you can make an informed decision on the type of products sent to you.
The products are very smartly presented into smaller boxes so picking out your treats and necessary sanitary protection is a breeze.
You aren't tied or pressured into an on-going subscription. You can arrange to only receive a box now and again if you so wish by cancelling at any time. If you need help, be sure to email Pink Parcel to let them know of your requirements and they will be happy to accommodate.
A perfect box of special treats to relax with each month and a fabulous way to make yourself feel better during your monthly period.
Your first box costs just £7.95 and after that it's £12.99 (including p+p!) a month.
They even support women who are unable to afford sanitary products which I think is absolutely wonderful.
I genuinely can not wait to order my next box, I really love the idea of these!
What are your thoughts on these types of boxes? Will you be ordering one?
