I have loved Make Up Revolution from the very beginning. Back in 2014, the Revolution launched itself into the beauty world with eye catching, good quality and most importantly, cruelty-free affordable products. I have watched them grow to phenomenal levels ever since.
And I couldn't be more proud, happy and honoured that this year I received an invitation to their second birthday party celebrations in Cafe de Paris, London.
Unfortunately due to absolutely atrocious hotel lighting (and my coach getting into London way later than expected), I didn't manage to get any full photos of my outfit and makeup. (However, you will still find out what I wore as I'll be showing you in a future post. Follow me on Twitter @cupcakesparkle so you won't miss it!)
I arrived at the event alone and nervously wobbled my way down an absolutely stunning staircase. Just imagine a girl in a poofy black tutu skirt and huge heels bent forward, inching her way down along the banister of said beautiful staircase. True elegance and sophistication.
Many pretty cocktails and glasse of wine adorned the intricately designed bar. I couldn't help but smile as I noticed that some of them were named after Make Up Revolution and their sister company Freedom Make Up London.
After a short time I got speaking to a few lovely ladies who welcomed me with warmth and kindness. I sipped an Elderflower soda water (generously given to me by the very kind bar man!) and soaked in the alluring building I was lucky enough to be inside.
I couldn't believe little me was at the celebration party of such a huge company. It sounds incredibly cliche and cheesy but it felt like it was a true cinderella moment.
After another drink or two, myself and the lovely people I was with explored the venue further.
As I walked around the room, tables of gorgeous makeup caught my eyes. Many familiar products and many I'd admittedly been insanely curious about.
First was Freedom Make Up London's stunning collection of palettes, lipsticks and brow pomades.
The next table presented many familiar products to me. It was at this precise moment I realised just how many of these products I already had. I wondered for a moment if maybe I had too much make up from this brand but immediately shook away such a ridiculous thought. Because there is no such thing as too many Make Up Revolution products. *whispers* The limit does not exist...
The table featured the newest addition to the Make Up Revolution lipstick family. A collection of lipsticks wrapped in beautiful rose gold packaging.
The iconic I ♡ Makeup I Heart Chocolate collection looked as edible as ever.
Close by were the Blushing Hearts blushers and I ♡ Makeup Blushing Hearts highlighters. If you haven't used these yet then you definitely should. They combine a variety of shades inside THE cutest heart cases and have seriously stunning colour payoff.
And a secret surprise for all of you B. lovers! B. is Superdrug's very own affordable, vegan friendly, cruelty-free beauty brand. Take a sneak peek of their upcoming brand new skincare products which I will be hitting the stores very soon!
Oh and can we talk about the emoji lip balms?
Behind Make Up Revolution are TAM Beauty and the very lovely Adam whose speech was funny, touching and extremely inspiring. Also doesn't Daisie look amazing?! Apologies for the slight blurring of this photo, it was hard to keep up with the exciting pace of this portion of the evening!
After the warm welcome from Adam and Daisie, the party really began! Cocktails and delicious canapes filled the room. And I'd just like to personally extend my thanks to the wonderful staff at Cafe De Paris who worked tirelessly serving food and drinks during the night. You were highly appreciated! And you fed me so many scrumptious canapes and glasses of wine!
I believe this was a chocolate orange cocktail (apologies but I don't remember its name!). I didn't have one myself (I am delightfully lactose intolerant) but they looked so delicious.
And here we have the white wine responsible for my terrible dancing...
One of the extra special moments of the night was when celebrity Radio One DJ Scott Mills appeared and played the best tunes for all of us to dance the night away to!
I even got a selfie to him. And Scott, I do apologise for informing you that I was very drunk! I also apologise for how I took this photo! It was the wine, I swear!
Clearly I was so wobbly on wine that I forgot how to take a decent selfie...doh!
But with that, thank you infinitely to TAM Beauty, Superdrug, all staff at Cafe de Paris, the entire Make Up Revolution team, Adam, Daisie and the beautiful, lovely ladies I met at this event who made it the most special one I've ever been to. I will hold the memories from this amazing event close to my heart for a long time to come.
Here's to the Revolution!
*Not a sponsored post. Nobody will ever need to pay me to praise Make Up Revolution. They're worthy of it regardless. :)
