My skin is quite temperamental. As well as oiliness I get dry patches and redness to contend with.
I decided to try out a Smashbox Studio Skin foundation as I have always loved this brand but had never tried their face products before. They are also cruelty free. Yay!
There's a huge range of about 20 shades to choose from which is fantastic. My shade is 0.5.
The demi-matte liquid formula has no scent, has no greasy texture or finish whatsoever. The coverage is provided almost effortlessly. All of my red and uneven patches were completely covered with minimal amount of product. My skin looks and feels (no tackiness!) amazing when I wear this, I love it!
The formula works well with a beauty blender or brush. I personally avoid using my fingers nowadays because it seems to make me break out (even though I use clean hands, it still seems to do this!) but I'm sure it'd work great that way too.
And it lasts. Oh does it ever last. For me, it stayed on 10 hours easily. I was very impressed by its durability.
The one and only downside to this foundation, in my opinion, is its £29 price tag!
I'm so impressed with this I think it's going to be one of my new go-to bases. Personally, because of its price tag, I'd wear this mainly for special occasions when I want to look completely polished.
Expensive, yes. Worth it? Hell yes.
