Festive Face : #Blogmas Day 7

It doesn't have to be Autumn/Winter for me to enjoy a warm make up look with red lipstick but there's still something so fun about wearing this style during those seasons anyway.

I wanted today's face to be a more casual (casual for me, okay?) take on festive make up...

I used the entire NYX palette on my eyes to build up from a sparkly peach (this shade from the palette is seriously SO.PRETTY.) to a gradient orange-red with the deep brown blended in for depth and definition. I always finish my eyes with a thick wing and a thousand layers of mascara. That's the goth girl in me.
 

I combine The Body Shop Lightening Drops with my Laura Mercier foundation when I wear it to give me a better colour match as this foundation is a little more yellow in tone. Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer brightens my under eyes and I set my whole face with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. (THE best translucent powder I've ever used.)

After contouring, (I use a medium/dark powder from MAC that I bought a long time before I decided to only buy cruelty-free brands. I won't be purchasing anymore MAC unless they become cruelty-free.) I lit up my cheek bones with the Prism highlighter from Make Up Academy. This highlighter is so damn gorgeous I can't.

 

My lipstick is Eden from the NYX Matte lipsticks collection. Great for those who prefer a slightly darker red without compromising the vibrancy. I love the way these lipsticks apply and feel on the lips. They're matte without being overly drying and their wear time is pretty good.
