❤ FOTD (Face Of The Day) ❤ (WITH ELF Cool Edition Little Black Beauty Book!)

21 July 2014

Today's make up strikes a contoured blue eye with a vibrant, electric purple. I kept my base make up subtle and soft and chose a lilac lipstick to add extra interest to the look.

Eye primer prolongs the wear of eye make up, preventing smudging and smearing. It's absolutely essential to my make up routine. I blended my Along Came Betty Eye Primer over my lids.

To create extra vibrant eye shadow add an adhesive creamy base. I used my NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk over the lid and lower lash line.

Most of the eyeshaows for today's eye make up came from this gorgeous palette. The ELF Cool Edition Little Black Beauty Book. If you haven't seen it yet you can check out my review of this palette right here:

I blended this light pink shimmer finish shade over the lids.

And contoured with a combination of this deep blue and ELF'S Single shadow in Totally Teal, taking the colour to the outer third of the lower lash line.

I underlined the remaining portion of my lower lash line with this electric purple from the Make Up Revolution Dia De Los Meurtos Palette. I have a review of this palette here: http://sparklyshellcosmetics.blogspot.com/2014/07/make-up-revolution-salvation-dia-de-los.html

I filled in my brows with a discontinued matte brown eyeshadow.

To add definition I layered Seventeen's Blow Out mascara over my upper and lower lashes.

GOSH X-Ceptional Wear Foundation gives a light, full coverage matte finish. I blended the base over the skin with a foundation brush.

I set my base make up with Bourjois powder in Beige Clair for a soft, matte finish. Adding powder before blush allows for the blush to blend over the skin more easily and look softer.

For blush I chose my Make Up Revolution Ultra Blush and Contour palette, using the lightest pink shade for a subtle flush.

To emphasise my eyebrows I chose the reflective white-pink toned highlighter from the same palette and placed it along the brow bone.

For an intriguing finish I completed the look with a lilac lip paint by Barry M in 129.

The completed look!
