Pink Pop: My Top 5 Pink Blushes
20 January 2016
Pink is a versatile shade that's going to be so hot this upcoming spring and summer. A feminine, flirty and playful shade that will add a sweet glow to your skin.
I have put together my top five favourite Pink blushes for all budgets. These are blushes I have used for many years and have a lot of love for!
ELF's Studio blush in Pink Passion is a soft buildable formula that gives a subtle pink pinch or you can build the pigmentation for full on barbie vibes.

If you need your blush to last all day long look no further than the Urban Decay After Glow Blushes. Obsessed is pure pink with magenta undertones. Highly pigmented so you only need a swipe of this across the cheek bones for an edgy, girly finish.
Sleek's blush in Pixie Pink is a great long lasting drugstore alternative. Brings brightness and depth to the face with minimal effort due to its highly pigmented formula.

One of my absolute favourite drugstore brands is Make Up Revolution. I make no lies and nobody's paying me to say this! For a buildable finish with a soft and blendable formula, try out their matte blushes. This shade Divine is cotton candy for the cheeks!

For a girl-next-door innocent feel, sweep Top Shop's Good Girl blush over the apples of the cheeks. A soft, silky, gentle pink formula for super feminine results.

Face Of The Day - Pretty Princess Look
7 November 2015
I recently purchased this beautiful palette from Make Up Revolution. Since then I've been experimenting like crazy with different looks and I think this one is definitely one of my favourites so far.
My current new obsession is with pretty, feminine shades.
I began with an eye primer (I have finally run out of my Make Up Revolution eye primer so I used a discontinued Smash Box one from an old gift set which is why it's not featured here as it isn't available anymore).
This is an absolute must for me because it locks my eye make up into place all day long.
My lid shade was Pretty. An eye-catching iridescent pink. Princess, with a matte purple finish, made the perfect crease contour shade.
I always use a lash line shade to add extra depth my eyes. I have big eyes and they tend to look less balanced with lighter shades alone. Combining Urchin and Waves created an iridescent blue toned purple that complimented the mixed tones of Pretty on the lids.
After applying mascara (Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde) and my favourite Collection Fast Stroke liquid eyeliner, I was ready for base make up.
Many people ask why I choose to apply eye make up first and base make up second. Simple. If I get fall out or unruly smudging and need to clean up any eye make up, it saves wiping away my foundation/concealer and then having to re-apply. Applying powder underneath the eyes to 'catch' eye make up never appealed to me since I have allergies - which would be aggravated by piling powder under my eyes - and also the powder just drags the eye colour all over your face rather than removing it so to me, that's not a way of tidying up that I'd ever choose.
One of my favourite foundations is Seventeen's Stay Time. It's extremely high coverage and lasts all day long on my semi-oily skin even without a primer underneath.
Make Up Revolution's Lip Geek lipstick in Baby Doll added a gentle feminine hue to the lips and completed my look.
What shades are you into right now?
