Let's open with one of my favourite dresses ever. The Fang Shift dress from Killstar.
Frilly vegan leather collar, delicate frill sleeves, crescent moon cut-out. Fucking Done. The stretchy velvet finishes this dress off just perfectly, it's so comfortable (and surprisingly not too heavy for a piece made with fabric known for its "weightiness"!).
Add deadly sweet shoes with HEART BUCKLES and adorable frilly socks. I dunno, I get a serious kick out of the creepy-but-cute look. It makes my heart so happy.
Lastly, I'd wear a clutch bag and some jewellery to complete this look.
My jewellery of choice is often necklaces and clip-on earrings. I have very tiny wrists so finding bracelets is super difficult. I probably own about two bracelets that I wear only for special ocassions for this reason. With so much frill going on I feel like it's also best to let that be the 'star of the show' if you will and not overwhelm the delicacy of the trim with lots of extra pieces on top.
Since this dress is collared I feel a necklace that hangs lower would be more appropriate. Anything short like a choker would get lost in the collar and likely not show as well.
I don't go anywhere without a pair of sunglasses. I get such horrific headaches from strong sunlight, (plus I drive) so I always have a pair to hand. These are one of my favourite pairs that I got a while ago off Ebay and they've held up SO well considering how damn cheap they were!
And what's cuter next to a moon-cut out and frills? That's right, an intricate moon clutch bag. I don't play around, I go hard on the creepy-cute or I go home!
