When I laid my eyes upon the Revolution Pro matte liquid lipsticks in store I was pretty excited to see the huge range of shades AND the awesome £4 price tag.

As someone who struggles to find a compatible foundation in the right shade, I was excited and hopeful about Fenty. Launched earlier this year by Robyn Rihanna Fenty, this inclusive line of foundations carries a whopping 40 shades.

With the festive period over I'm rolling around in the plethora of  bath bombs Santa brought me. Naturally. The skin on my body is smooth and soft thanks to those gorgeous essential oils packed into my bath bombs. But after all that festive stress and food I admit my face isn't coping so well.

Due to having a hormonal condition I am prone to breaking out easily whenever I use new products on my face. Searching for any face product, therefore, can leave me feeling conflicted and a smidge mentally exhausted as my brain scrambles to decide if it's a good idea to pick this brand or that one.

When I added this item to my Amazon Wish List I never imagined anyone would really gift it to me. My beautiful friend is responsible for allowing me the pleasure of owning this foundation after years of wishing I could get it. Eye Primer locks your eye shadows and liners into place leaving them more resistant to smudging, creasing and fading. It creates an even base to apply eye make up on top of. So essential to me that if I didn't have it I'd avoid wearing eye make up altogether.

And the good news is you don't have to spend a ton to find a great one anymore. There's one for every budget imaginable.

I explored some of the drugstore options out there and Essence's Colour Intensifying Primer kept catching my eye. I kept talking myself out of buying this because I thought its cheap price tag would mean it wouldn't perform very well.
